I was born and raised in New Haven, and much of who I am today was shaped right here. From Wilbur Cross to Gateway Community College to Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven has been a constant part of my story.

My journey in healthcare began in 2014 when I became an EMT. That experience sparked something in me. I wanted to learn more. I wanted to understand more. I wanted to do more. That curiosity and drive pushed me forward—first into nursing and eventually into advanced practice.

​

I’ve experienced healthcare as a patient, parent, student, educator, first responder, nurse, and now a provider, so I understand the barriers to care through many different lenses.

​

Those experiences are a big part of why I created The Howard Office. I wanted to build the kind of practice I would choose for myself and  family—a place where patients feel safe, respected, heard, and cared for without judgment. 

​

I've chased this dream from day one. Every degree, every clinical hour, every long night, and every step forward brought me to this point. Today, I’m proud to be a healthcare provider and the owner of my own practice.

​

The Howard Office was built on years of education, sacrifice, and determination. This practice intentionally carries my name because I’m proud to be Theresa Howard and I'm proud of everything it took to get here.

​

This community helped shape who I am, and The Howard Office is my opportunity to pour some of that back into the community that poured into me.
